The Roto-Hybrid technology team from Karm Research Group have delivered a number of presentations recently to audiences at a number of printing and packaging conferences and meetings such as the European Rotogravure Association (ERA) and Gravure Association of the Americas (GAA) respectively and KRG are pleased to report that the Roto-Hybrid project has now entered into customer trials with early adopters.

2017 was a year of manufacturing development in order to bring online the equipment necessary to manufacture larger sized cylinders for the Hybrid Cylinder and combine this process with the gravure cylinder and anilox roller coating equipment for the HCR chrome replacement cylinder technology.

Now that the infrastructure is in place the focus in 2018 has now shifted in order to facilitate end user trials and in-market evaluations of the technologies that make up the Roto-Hybrid Process.

The Hybrid Chrome replacement coating is a Patent Pending environmentally safe hybrid cylinder coating process with its foundations in diamond-like-carbon which offers superior print results.
